Summary

After running a tight ship as it adjusted to the Xbox One with Forza 5, Turn 10 has hit Forza 6 with a bit more pace. It's a bigger, more generous game with loads of precisely executed content.

While its predecessor had a somewhat cut down list of tracks and cars, Forza 6 offers a wealth of goodies. Microsoft boasts over 450 cars to collect and race ranging from supercars to '60s open-wheel racers to family saloons, all including working doors, cockpits, damage and customisation. There are also 26 famous real-world locales, including 10 that are brand new to Forza.

A new addition, pinched from Forza Motorsport's more arcade-y cousin, Horizon, is the chance to play showcase events. These are one-off challenges that put you in cars you might not have unlocked yet for challenges such as endurance races or a spin around the Top Gear track.

The handling has been tightened up, and players will really feel the benefit of the Xbox One's rumble triggers as you hit the brakes too late or run at the edge of your grip, and the pad passes that sensation right into your fingertips.

Online racing is, of course, back, with new Forza Race Leagues and online spectating to really ramp up the feeling of competition.

Forza 6 is a game that feels as top-of-the-line as the Ferraris and Lamborghinis you can line your garage with. It even still has that new car smell...
