Summary

Sushi Striker: Way of the Sushido is just your average, run of the mill post-apocalyptic puzzle game in which you must use your food prep skills in frenetic battles to defend your homeland.

It's been a while since the infamous Sushi Struggles, but their mystery still needs solving, as does the riddle of just what happened to your parents. Not only that, but the encroaching Empire needs fending off and only your sushi skills stand in its way!

Confused? That's fair. The best way to understand Sushi Striker as a sort of fast-paced moving match-3 puzzle game with a surprising amount of narrative. It comes from the strange and delightful brains at indieszero, the studio best known for the excellent NES Remix and the cult classic Electroplankton.

As you'd expect from indieszero, even when you take into account the weird set-up, this is no straightforward match-3 game. You can find and befriend sushi spirits and take up to three of them into battle, using their powers to gain the advantage. You'll also unlock goodies galore to spice up your showdowns with plenty of customisation choices. Throw in multiplayer options and you've got a game with a lot of depth for such a simple premise!
