Summary

Klonoa? No, it’s not one of those ominous titles that don’t make sense; Klonoa is, well, a creature. To cut a long story short, he is the guy you get to play, okay? Two-and-a-half dimensional games are a popular genre for a 32-bit format, and Klonoa is no exception.

Similar to Pandemonium, also on PlayStation, Klonoa takes place on a 3D dimensional, but linear environment. You are still restricted to left and right movements along with the very basic jump and shoot controls. Such simple controls make Klonoa very, very easy to play. Once you quickly have control of your character, you can get cracking. Because of the easy controls, the learning curve has been made harder to try and give a challenge to the player. While the controls are easy, some of the level are a bit complicated, due to the 3D nature of this title.

There is a loosely based plot used as the driving force for Klonoa, giving at least some sort of direction to the player. Other than this, Klonoa is a simple game and is accessible to anyone who approaches it.
