Summary

Point Blank DS includes games taken from the three console iterations of the series to date, and adds some totally new PB-style treats. Sharpshooters and stylus-wielders are invited to test their hand/eye coordination, but obviously, this time around, there's no unwieldy lightgun to unpack/pack away before and after gameplay. No, this frantic collection of minigames makes use of the touch screen and the sleek, slender stylus in place of the lightgun.

There are four different difficulty levels across 40 different stages, and High Score Free Play, Arcade and Classic modes are included. Verily, there are challenges for sharpshooters of all ages and skill levels.

No DS version of a classic game - and Point Blank is a classic in our eyes - would be complete without a quirky addition to the gameplay. As if jabbing the stylus at the touch screen is not novel enough, Point Blank DS lets players take the Brain Massage challenge, in which players' abilities are analysed with a frantic screen-tapping shoot out. And we thought that a massage was supposed to relax! Players wanting to go head-to-head can take advantage of the wireless multiplayer option and link up with just one cartridge between them and battle it out across a selection of frenzied minigames.
