Summary

Rise of the Godslayer is the first expansion for Age of Conan: The Hyborean Adventures. When you're promising a Godslayer, you'd better have something big in the works for your game. Fortunately, developer Funcom does.

For starters, you're getting a full-on, massive new landscape to explore. To the East of Hyborea, the European-looking setting for your earlier adventures in the world of Conan, lies Khitai. Since Conan creator Robert E. Howard roughly followed the geography of the planet we're stood on, you might have an idea what heading east means for Rise of the Godslayer – things get oriental. Alas, Khitai is in decline. The savage Hyrkanians, kept at bay by the Great Wall for thousands of years now swarm the land, while behind the scenes sinister sorcerers manipulate events and alien creatures trouble the black desert of Kara Korum. The mystery of the Godslayer needs unravelling...

You can, of course, play using your established Age of Conan character, but you'll also have the option to play as one of the new Khitan race. Either way, you'll get chance to travel the plains on all-new mounts such as tigers.

On top of the brand new content, players will also find new gameplay features such as an alternate advancement system to keep things interesting. Throw in the original Hyborean Adventures for good measure and both seasoned sword hands and rookies have plenty to go at.
