Well I know I have had my diputes with you in the past but I am writing this in a civilised manner. I am going to talk about the ps2 graphics. I know xbox has the better graphics but no one can deny the ps2 has done an amazing job graphically for a 6 year old system.
Look at games like god of war, gran turismo 4, tekken 5 and devil may cry 3. This is an old system and yet developers still can juice it for all it's worth.
Well as for the game devs comment, yes they are anxious to make games on xbox but they also can't wait for ps3 and revolution. I know you love xbox, which is good we need competition but next generation is when we really see if microsoft can defeat sony.
Since xbox 360 is supposed to come out this fall they will have a whole year to them selves. But just remember if they don't get the third party support that sony has they wont last long. Halo can only last so long you know.

Amazing job? Dunno about that, its part of the natural cycle of console evolution that games graphics' will improve as the system ages. Its a common phenomenon. As if the quality of Xbox graphics have remained static since its launch...5 year old system that it almost is...

Actual Question...How many PS2 games support 480p? Because for the Xbox, theres two, two that don't support 480p that is...

Finally you don't seem to get it, MS doesn't have to "defeat" Sony, they have to make money thats all... Global Domination is nice, but in reality, thats just because it means MORE MONEY.

Microsoft already have their fingers in enough pies without adding monopolisation of videogaming to the list as well.

It doesn't even need to better Sony next gen - with more than a three billion cash surplus, it can afford to sit this one out.

BTW, just the scare ya. Microsofts Cash Reserve is closer to $50billion and they make $100million in revenu per hour.

oh and to the cost of xbox live, being a rip off at £40 per year, lets do a little maths:

£40/12 = £3.33 per month
or
£40/52 = £0.77 per week
or
£40/365 = £0.11 per day

Oh and why do you think online gaming is going to be free on the PS3? Yeah Sony aint gonna charge ya but they are putting the burden of online gaming onto the developer/publisher. You think they are gonna make servers available for free out out of the kindness of their heart? ;)

Earlier I made a hyuuge* reply about the next gen battle, dunno what happened to it...I'll try and run over the salient points...

This Next Gen Console battle could be much bigger than gaming, at least 2 of the 3 NGCs are supposed to act as "media hubs", supporting all kinds of IP. This is interesting, and provokes much thought about the implications of such devices.

Sony and MS come at the "media hub" with different backgrounds, Sony in Hardware and IP ownership, Microsoft in Networking and Software.

Also, to all you MS hatas*, you do realize that MS loses money with every Xbox sold, don't you? If you really want to hurt MS...BUY MORE XBOXES Hell, its not like you can't put Linux on them, that'll really show MS...

Yeah I left out the s, anyway I did my part a long time ago helping microsoft lose money when I bought an xbox. I lost money to cause I paid 300 for it and all the system has is halo. The other games like splinter cell and riddick are better on pc, so I buy the pc versions.
