Sorry, that wasn't particularly descriptive and caught me in a slightly bad mood to boot. Anyway, specifically;

The image fronting this page is a piece of original photography that was published, on the internet, under a license that allows infinite reproduction but not appropriation - that is to say, use it but don't take credit for it. In my book, branding it qualifies as the latter. It comes a repository of images that (fair use aside) belong to somebody who hasn't granted permission for their being branded with someone else's name.

I'd hate to come across as awkward or bitter, or anything even approaching either of those, so sorry if that's the case.

You'd think it'd be something you'd have to freebase.

Sorry - the sausages comment may have been a reference too far. If it was anything other than that, then yeah, I'll lay off the crack for a bit...but it's just so damn moreish.

And sorry about the pic, Fatoy. I told them to just scavenge my facebook photos - I'll be more careful next time. And I'll play Lostwinds to make it up to you. And make more Futurama jokes :)

Fatoy has responded to me directly. We automatically watermark images via the CMS, hence his point.

I've got to say that I can appreciate somebody giving some kind of a damn about their own photography (mine tends to look like the work of a bemused elderly gentleman confronted by soul-stealing technology while is both drunk and peeing on his own commode).

Jebus, being sickeningly reasonable has been the order of the day, I need a large alcohol infusion.

If only this picture was taking in Belgium. Under its privacy laws she can demand that the picture and the orginal and any copies be deleted or destroyed immediatly or, if not complied too, perfectly sue the person who took/owns the picture if she hasn't sigend anything that says otherwise.

So in belgium you can be interviewed by a tv-crew on the street and afterwards demand they destroy the tape under those privacy laws. I need to do that once though.
