Seriously though, this fanboy-ism is a bit daft isn't it?? I mean, I'm a raving Nintendo fan but not at the expense of shunning their 'rivals.' A good game is a good game, regardless of format, and any gamer worth their salt will have the console(s) that best suit their tastes. So Mario, Master Chief and....erm...Sackboy?, I salute you all!

I honestly think, given that it has already revealed Killzone 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2 ahead of its E3 conference, that Sony has the most potential to 'win' it this year. To not hold off on those announcements until that huge press event means that Sony's either overly confident in its Move peripheral (meh), or it has some pretty awesome things in the pipeline it has yet to reveal.

I've not got my hopes up for Microsoft. They'll do Halo: Reach for a bit, and the separate Natal presentation means that their main conference is likely to be even more padded than usual. They'll probably nick an exclusive, or announce an exclusive, or something. But maybe MS have some butt-shattering news that they've managed to keep quiet until E3. Who knows.

Nintendo, they have the most to prove, but given their performance the last couple of years I'm not certain they can pull something truly amazing off. The 3DS will be interesting however.

I can't say who's going to win, but I think Ninty have the most to lose- They have the 3DS, a new Zelda and Pokemon B&W. Nintendo haven't really catered for the 'gamers' as much as the common person. Microsoft do have some leaway with Natal, as do Sony with Move, but many can argue that it's just a rewiring of the wii. And because of that, If Sony and Microsoft come out with better motion control, Nintendo's going to lose a lot of support from 3rd parties.

I have a high degree of optimism for Move, slight less so for Natal. I just think having a real physical controller will make Move more useful and intuitive. I think there is great potential for motion control. Wee showed that, but has always felt a little too "vague" for my liking. Sharpen up the motion control and add it to HD graphics and I just might be convinced.
