Venom Games was formed in early 2003 and is comprised of the majority of the team who completed the original Rocky game for PS2 and Xbox at Rage's former Newcastle Studio. The team has worked on games for Rage, Ubisoft, MGM Interactive, Infogrames and Acclaim across many different formats, working closely with a number of OEM clients including NVidia, Creative, ATI and Compaq.

The studio was closed in July 2008 by parent company Take 2 Interactive.

Venom Games's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2004 title, "Rocky: Legends" (PS2).

The company has been involved titles released on the Xbox 360, PS2 and Xbox. Of these, "Prey" (Xbox 360) has been a best selling title.

The company's most recent involvement was on the 2008 release "Don King Prize Fighter" (Xbox 360).
