Tate Multimedia is a Polish independent developer and publisher operating in most European and North American markets, as well as in Japan and China.

Since its founding in 2000 the company has co-developed titles for publishers such as Atari and Koch Media. The cooperation resulted in games including “My Horse and Me 2,” “Asterix and Obelix”, “Lucky Luke”, “Titeuf” and “The Saddle Club.”

In its home market Tate has gained particular popularity with the game series “KAO the Kangaroo”, which has been a huge success and a response to the shortage of games aimed at younger players. Sales of the title as totalled over 700,000 copies to date and, in 2004, it became the best game for children in Poland.

Tate's breakthrough came in 2013 as it branched into self-publishing. “Urban Trial Freestyle” was the first title developed and published independently by the company. The game was released in 150 countries for the PS3 and PlayStation Vita, PC, Nintendo 3DS and mobile. Over one million copies have been sold so far.

Tate Multimedia's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2018 title, "Urban Trial Playground" (Switch).
