Summary

Alien 3 is based on the 1992 film of the same name starring Sigourney Weaver (Ripley). To be more precise the game shares the same title but is somewhat different to the actual film.

Alien 3 is set on a colony inhabited by prisoners who have been left to govern themselves. There are six stages to the game with multiple level objectives. You are Ripley and you have three weapons at your disposal: a pulse rifle, a flame-thrower and a grenade launcher. The main objective of the game is to rid the colony of aliens.

Throughout the game there is a motion tracker that will warn you of any impending aliens, as you make your way through air shafts and cell blocks. You can also access computers to receive level objectives and various assignments. These can range from rescuing prisoners who have been cocooned to sealing doors/air shafts.

At the end of each stage, you are given a password, so you can come back to the game at any time, until the final showdown with the Queen Alien herself.
