Evolution - Colecovision

Evolution was released in 1983. It is a unique action game where you have to climb the evolutionary ladder. You begin as a single celled amoeba, and try and advance all the way into becoming a human.
There is six evolutionary steps along the way. First you start in the form of an Amoeba where you have to fight off spores, microbes and collect DNA samples to get to the next level. On the second level you control a frog where you have to eat flies and make sure you don't get hit by the fish. Thirdly you control a small rodent digging under the sand and collect cheese. During this you are getting chased by snakes which are faster than you so, you have to kill them off by dropping your dung behind them. On the fourth level you take control of a beaver where you have to swin past crocodiles to collect sticks. Pick up a stick and make it back, past the crocodiles to build up your dam. The fifth level consists of you controlling a gorilla and throwing pinapples at monkeys which steal your oranges. And finally you control a human where you have a firefight with mutants.
Complete all these stages and you are treated to a view of the end of the world. Then, you get to complete it all again, at a harder level. more
