When 3D rendering packages were common, but games machines that could handle their output weren't, this disparity never stopped games publishers from loading their games with suptiously rendered 3D images. The fact that the games would spend more time loading than playing rarely seemed to conecernt hem. This, like Myst, suffers from overambition, and a good deal of tedium too. more
