Yes, you read it correctly, this game does exactly what it says on the cover. There is indeed an option to play for a continuous 24 hours for those of you with a huge bladder capacity and nothing better to do.

Before getting into the meat of this game, you can enjoy the dulcet tones of Tiff Needell attempting to wrap his Home Counties accent around some tricky French vowels. Most amusing. As for Tiff's inane comments of encouragement whilst you're racing, the less said the better. Where's Murray Walker when you need him?

The more sensible and busy amongst us can opt for the twelve or twenty-four minute version of the race, or the twelve hour version at a push. Whichever option you choose, the race is run from sunrise to sunset, and in this respect, the game is very effective. The cars also speed along at a fair old rate, as you would expect from such famous marques as Team Agusta, Team Cirtek and Larbre. That' s another plus point for this game, it has an official license, so there are identifiable manufacturers here.

The action is fast and furious, the sound effects are fantastic, and there are literally fireworks during the race, but take a tip from yours truly. Always remember to refuel, it's easily overlooked when you're new to the game. Overall, this is an extremely worthwhile addition to Infogrames already bulging stable
