Summary

Lego Rock Raiders is linked to a themed Lego construction set toy. The game has been developed in parallel with the Lego System range and features the same mini-figures, vehicles and rock monsters that are available in the toy set.

Lego Rock Raiders aims to be the first resource-based strategy game that is really 'kids compatible'. A level-based approach to the game gives children a progressive challenge that grows with their playing experience and presents new goals at every stage. Help is always at hand from the crew of the LMS Explorer as they offer words of advice and encouragement. Players navigate their way through a dangerous underground environment, avoiding natural hazards and creatures like the Rock Monsters, while mining precious resources that will enable them to re-energise their ship's engines and get them home. As well resource-based missions you will also have to take on rescue missions when things go wrong.

With a plethora of collectibles, some absolutely enormous playing areas, fiendish bad guys and great weapons, Rock Raiders should give players plenty to think about. This isn’t a necessary purchase but it would make a great present for any PlayStation owning kids.
