Summary

The Paperboy series is a classic arcade title dating as far back as 1985. Since the original launch there have been many reincarnations of the same game converted onto different platforms. Back in the early to mid nineties, the home console industry evolved in a revolutionary transition from 2D to 3D. Ever since the present era began no one has even attempted to recreate a 3-dimensional version. That is, until now. From Midway comes, Paperboy 3D on Nintendo 64.

This time, to avoid sexist issues, you can play either the paperboy or the papergirl. Once you have chosen your rider, depending on your sexual preference, you must once again protect the city’s towns from disgruntled customers. Remember, if you don’t do your job properly, you won’t have a job to do at all, as all the subscripted houses will cancel their papers.

Again, life isn’t so easy that you can just walk along happily, delivering papers hassle free. For a start, you are on a bike that you can’t get off, but to make matters worse, there are dogs chasing you, cars pulling out of their drives, and other hazardous objects lying around in the middle of the road. All in all, it’s the first 3D game of its kind, and it can be fun to play, even if a little awkward.
