Silver? Whats that all about, you ask. Since RPG titles have a tendency to have outlandish character names, you wont be surprised to hear that Silver is in fact your worst nightmare, the sorcerer. Silver has been a long time coming, at least in terms of the games industry, but now its here, lets take a look.
As with any RPG, you get the privilege of playing the hero in a quest to defeat an evil presence of some sort, and as mentioned earlier, Silver is your challenge. Silver takes place in a highly detailed pre-rendered scrolling environment, as such, your task is not just to battle, but to explore as well. Visually, there is but one slight hitch; the characters are a little small. While controls are fluid, its still a little difficult to see what youre doing, which can often downgrade the superb character animation.
As far as the RPG element is concerned, its typical. Statistics are there, along with spectacular magic spells, potions, weapons and the likes. In an attempt to make this RPG a little less daunting, the inventory has been simplified for ease of use to newcomers of the genre. The pie inventory consists of eight circular division which can be selected through the movement of the analogue stick. Simple.
Silver has had a lot of hype to live up to, but just as long as you dont get sucked into it, youll have plenty of fun with this RPG.
