Summary

Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let’s make some crazy money. Crazy Taxi 2 is coming to the PlayStation 2. Sega’s recent announcement of their plans to develop games for a variety of platforms is a blessing to the PlayStation 2. That’s not to say Sony couldn’t cope without Sega’s support, but Sega are well respected for the diversity and originality of their softography. Crazy Taxi is a fine example of Sega ‘s renowned gameplay. You are a Taxi Driver and the aim of the game is to pick up and drop off passengers to earn money. Sounds simple, but you have a time limit to contend with and you need to drop your passengers off quickly to earn a time extension and extra money.

In Crazy Taxi 2 the game jumps from hilly San Francisco to the crowded streets of the Big Apple. The fun gameplay of the original is kept intact, Sega is wisely following the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, just improve on it’ ideology. A new feature of Crazy Taxi 2 will be the jump button. Jumping is an important trick to reaching your destination quickly. In Crazy Taxi 2, you can drive anywhere, over buildings and under the ocean. You will now be allowed to jump whenever you want, no need to wait for ramps or inclines. This technique will give you the ability to bunnyhop other cars and make sneaky new short cuts. Unrealistic, but who cares when you’re having this much fun.

Crazy Taxi 2 will also feature multi-fares. This is slightly riskier and time consuming because everyone in your cab wants to be dropped off somewhere different and you aren’t paid until the end. Just make sure that the last person out doesn’t do a runner. Crazy Taxi 2 features more detailed graphics, new locations, new characters and even more sub-games. Taxi to the games retailer please!
