Summary

If the pant-wetting escapades of the previous instalments were not enough to frighten the trousers off you, then prepare to shell out for this latest AVP2 expansion pack, Primal Hunt.

Set 500 years before the events of Aliens Vs Predator 2, Primal Hunt presents the player with three all-new interlocking character-driven stories of a Predalien, Predator and a corporate mercenary. Featuring the creatures, weaponry and settings from the original and adding new weapons and challenges, Primal Hunt sees the three enemies battle over a mysterious and much sought after artefact, which has the power to control Aliens.

Nine new levels (three per species) make up the single player experience, allowing players to cast themselves as the Predalien, Predator or corporate mercenary. Four levels of intense multiplayer combat are also included, as well as all the updates, patches and maps released by Monolith since the release of AVP2.

Updates to the weapons and combat styles now allow for dual pistols if playing as a human, as well as a rotating, rapid fire turret gun and a deployable sentry gun that can be strategically positioned. Predators are now in possession of an Energy Flechette, which is an energy blaster attached to the forearm, and a kamikaze-style self-destruct manoeuvre, ideal for taking everyone out.

If scaring yourself half to death is your cup of tea, then you probably already own Aliens Vs Predator 2. If you already own Aliens Vs Predator 2, then you can't go wrong with Primal Hunt, especially at less than twenty quid.
