Summary
Despite being warned to stay away from Hogwarts High for a second year, Harry Potter, victim of his insatiable curiosity, embarks upon a second adventure for Game Boy Advance.
Harry soon finds himself entangled in a sinister plot against his classmates when his friends become petrified one by one. That's turned to stone to you and me. With the help of Hermione, Hedwig and the occasional dose of level-2 magic, you must foil the resident villain's plans and uncover the identity of the "Heir of Slytherin".
Using an approach similar to the Broken Sword wander-em-up from Revolution, you must navigate Harry through dozens of environments taken from the hit movie, solving puzzles and mysteries along the way. Environments are rendered in 2D but also in great detail, and all are bustling with interactive features. There are plenty of text-laden NPC's and clues hidden along the way, giving hints as to your next course of action. Some challenges are more taxing than others, but you'll rarely find yourself short on options.
Most significantly, and exclusive to Game Boy Advance, players can hook up their GBA to the nearest GameCube Harry Potter to exchange maps, magical items and secret spells for added value.
More of a brainteaser than a simple 3D adventure title, Chamber of Secrets on GBA is in many ways the most taxing version of the bunch. In that respect, it's admirable. It's one of the most captivating games to hit the Nintendo handheld.
