Summary

Based on a proposed route between Barstow, California and Las Vegas, the development team behind Casino Express: Maglev 2005, has spent a great deal of time making this latest Train Sim add-on the best, and perhaps the most original in the field.

It's the year 2005, and there are several concept trains on the drawing board for a high speed 'magnetic levitation' transport system to carry passengers along much-travelled routes with minimal congestion.

Whisking you from California to Las Vegas at speeds approaching 300mph, key developers Craig Scott and Pat Malicki have lunged forward to bring you the best in future railway developments. Park your car at the lot in downtown Barstow and board the Casino Express. Sit back and enjoy the quick trip through the desert and onto the adult paradise with all its excitement and glamour.

That's all well and good, but there's still one burning question; how on Earth does this Maglev system work? Well, here's how. To achieve these 300mph speeds, the track is simply elevated to isolate the right of way from other traffic. In other words, it's just one long bridge without crossroads and traffic lights. It's not that complicated, really, just expensive.

And if you're not too anxious to hit the LV Strip, you can stop in Primm and spend a few hours shopping at the outlet mall, then hop back on the next train for the quick ride to Las Vegas. You've got all the time in the world, why not spend it on a virtual train? Hmm...
