Summary

Marking the continuation of the hugely popular Dancing Stage franchise, Party Edition features the series' biggest array of pop talent to date. Following the success of Moloko, Cameo and Gloria Gaynor's involvement in Dancing Stage Euromix, Dancing Stage Party Edition will feature Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out of My Head', Rufus and Chaka Khan's 'You Got The Love' and 'Don't Stop Movin' by S-Club 7. The PSone title will feature 51 songs in total, with additional contributions from The Cardigans, The Bloodhound Gang and original tracks created by members of Konami's many Japanese development studios.

Dancing Stage Party Edition is part of Konami's family-orientated Bemani range of music titles. Using either a PlayStation controller or special dance mat accessory (available separately) players must press the relevant buttons as they appear on the screen. Bonuses are awarded for freestyle moves, with additional tracks and hidden items unlocked as the game progresses.

Four main gameplay modes allow the user to play a straight conversion of the arcade game, practice with certain tracks, master the basics via a tutorial mode or even lose weight with the Workout mode - complete with on-screen calorie counter. Players can also compete against each other using two mats or a separate controller with both aiming to accrue more points than their rival.
