Summary

Released alongside Empire's other super value compilation, Music Collection, this box of delights features a plethora of classic Sega Arcade games. And with enough change from a £20 note for a pint and a fish supper, it certainly can't be frowned upon.

There are six games in total, all from around the time of Sega's arcade dominance, and all faithfully recreated for your PC. They are:

Sonic 3D: Flickie's Island - known as Sonic 3D Blast outside Europe, this isometric platformer, which originally appeared on the Saturn, sees players help Sonic rescue the Flickies from Dr Robotnik before the Chaos Emerald falls into the wrong hands.

Sonic R - another Saturn port, Sonic R features fast and furious 3D racing with Sonic and all his mates.

Virtua Tennis - undeniably the greatest arcade tennis game ever, with a simple-yet-intuitive control mechanic, fluid gameplay and great visuals.

Virtua Cop 2 - classic shoot-em-up that requires nothing more than pointing and shooting.

Sega Rally 2 - one of the first Dreamcast titles and still found in many arcades today, Sega Rally was a benchmark for arcade racers in its day and is still looked upon as one of the greats.

Virtua Fighter 2 - this early incarnation of Sega's much loved fighting series is still the choice of many beat-em-up purists.
