Summary

FlatOut 2 features an enhanced version of its predecessor's acclaimed physics engine and even faster driving track designs. FlatOut 2 also offers a wealth of improvements, enhancements and additions to make this the ultimate FlatOut experience. Compared to the original, the game offers double the number of cars, an improved career mode, additional race environments, twice the number of tracks, more mini-games and an online multiplayer mode.

In FlatOut 2, there are over 5,000 fully destructible objects on every track, as well as 40 deformable parts on each vehicle. Greater emphasis is placed on causing as much damage as possible on the racing track by offering greater rewards, ultimately making gameplay more chaotic than ever. There are more cars to choose from, such as Muscle Cars, Pickup Trucks, Sports cars and Compacts - the original featured Muscle Cars only. There are more race environments in FlatOut 2, including Big City, LA Storm Drains, Rocky Mountain Forest, Corn Fields and Desert.

The game offers an enhanced Championship Mode, with multiple cups across increasingly more complicated levels. Each cup contains a series of races that the player competes in for money and points. There is also a garage in this version, to allow the player to own several vehicles. The game has six Destruction Derby Arenas, as opposed to the original game's three. The popular Rag Doll mini-games from FlatOut make a welcome return with 12 Rag Doll events, a Rag Doll Championship and online support for Rag Dolls.
