Summary

Wildlife Park takes the familiar gameplay style of games Like Theme Park, and spins it in a new direction - exchanging the stylised isometric graphics for detailed 3D rendered animations.

The game aims to offer the player an amazing safari experience. In Wildlife Park 2 the animals are the stars of the show. Using human-like behaviour, they interact with the player, other creatures, the landscape, their play apparatus (tyres swining from tress and stuff - you get the picture) and visitors to the park. The animals are modelled in 3D, with their physical movements recreated to provide realistic animations.

Wildlife Park 2 demonstrates accurate water and weather effects, together with realistic plant types, growth and development. Using the full 3D game engine, water flows and collects in accordance with the landscape. Plant life in Wildlife Park 2 covers the entire spectrum of plant species, from basic edible plants to special types, like cactuses and orchids. Wildlife Park 2’s weather model can adapt to any scenario, from red hot sunshine in the Sahara Desert to snow in the Artic regions. The weather also affects the behaviour of animals, for example thunderstorms will see animals panic and seek shelter.

In Wildlife 2, gamers assume the role of Park Director. It is up to the Park Director to ensure that the park is a place where both animals and the public are well looked after. For the park to be a success, it is necessary gamers keep a careful eye on the budget. However, at the same time gamers must market the park to the public to the best of their ability, so visitors spend as much money there as possible. These funds can then be used to obtain more animals or improve facilities for animals and visitors.
