Summary

Is politics really what you get when ten animals fight to be elected to the throne of the Lion King? Well, you're about to find out. Hail to the Chimp is a party game based around winning votes by any means available. You can play with up to four human players, either on the same console or connected online, CPU players will fill the ballot paper to the full rosta of four contenders.

Each game involves collecting the votes of the lowest animals in the game - the clams - by physically picking them up. Clams act as your health, lose too many and you're out of the round. Clams are also used to complete the objectives of the various rounds, one time you may be stuffing them into ballot boxes and another you may be giving them to fat cats in exchange for campaign funds.

While competing for the votes of the clams, you can also batter your opponents, set environmental traps and use curses to disrupt their play. Players can even partner up to give access to special attacks, before betraying their running mate and stealing their clams, of course. These special attacks are unique and depend on the combination of characters in the partnership.

The mini-game levels are linked together by a send up of a political commentary television show on the GRR News network hosted by Woodchuck Chumley who reads the latest headlines. This adds to the atmosphere of the party political battle.
