Summary

Using the system from the Japanese version of Naruto Shinobi Retsuden II, and filled with new characters, original scenarios, and other features exclusive to this original European title, the game looks fantastic and gives you the chance to play a story mode for the first time in a 3D Naruto game on the DS.story that's never been told before in the anime series.

A total of 25 characters are playable, including characters from Ninja Destiny and Shinobi Retsuden II as well as all new characters, and, if you are good enough, you will get the chance to play as all the Hokages (First to Fifth) – a first for the Nintendo DS or Wii. The authenticity of the game is increased by the use of the original cast of the Naruto series to provide the Japanese voiceovers used for characters in battles!

The game boasts a complete Leaf Village, modelled in full 3D on the Nintendo DS. Playing as Naruto, you can explore the entire map and collect items while playing through the completely original story, which takes place right after the battle between Naruto and Sasuke at the Final Valley – and leads, inevitably, to further battles!

Clearing the single player Story Mode does not, however, signal the end of the game. After clearing it once, the number of playable characters in Free Battle Mode and Wireless Battle Mode will increase, and you will also unlock the single-player Quest Mode. Quest Mode sees you challenge your way through automatically generated maps, gaining power ups and becoming stronger as you progress. In single-player Free Battle Mode, you can pit your fighting powers against the computer or take on opponents one after another in a survival-type format.

And using the Nintendo DS Wireless Communication, you can take on a friend (or enemy!) in Wireless Battle Mode, unleashing the best moves you’ve learned from your ninja trainers!
