Summary

Global warming might be a bit of a hot topic these days, but it's yet to put dampers on the fact that every year the world's mountains get snow dumped all over them, and every year someone needs to shred them. It's time for you to step up, without any of the expense or effort of getting yourself over to Europe or North America for real.

Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage builds on the success of 2008's Road Trip – the better of the games to take the famed rider's name. Where in Road Trip you went off in search of the best powder, however, in World Stage you're hitting the hill in search of glory. Players zig-zag the around the world, entering the biggest and best competitions.

As with Road Trip, the Balance Board is supported, bringing you closer to the powder than ever. Events include races, trick challenges, half pipes, and an elimination mode that sees the last rider eliminated at every checkpoint. It's all covered in a Saturday morning cartoon style gloss, with Shaun and his buddies providing a warm feel to the game despite the snow.

New to Road Trip's offering is a mode that enables you to create your own moves. Using MotionPlus, you can manoeuvre the Wii Remote and see your rider mimic the actions on-screen. Should you want to, you can replace all the pre-set moves with your own.

It's time to shred the powder!
