Summary

Carrier Command: Gaea Mission combines a fast-paced and challenging action game with with a requirement for the player to calculate and execute on clever and brutal military strategies.

Set in a archipelago of islands scattered in a mighty sea, the game tasks its players with command and control of a vast, futuristic carrier. The archipelago comprises many islands - all newly rendered - all of which contain (or don't) valuable resources.

Resource management and protection is key. Using map views as well as very hands-on direct control, players must use brain and brawn to win individual skirmishes, large-scale wars, with the final aim being to gain and maintain control of the archipelago.

Knowledgeable gamers will realise that Carrier Command: Gaea Mission draws its inspiration from the 1988 classic ‘Carrier Command’.

Bohemia Interactive - a specialist in war simulations - is behind the development of Carrier Command: Gaea Mission and it has brought a new game mode to the classic Carrier Command mix. The Campaign Mode enables gamers to play through a series of individual missions involving first-person firefights on land, sea and air. These are threaded through with a brand new narrative based on the second book in the the Gaea Universe trilogy.

There is also a free-roam strategy mode that lets gamers define their own preferred play preferences, win conditions, starting bases and generate a virtually unique level, suitable for a quick run through for newcomers or for a more tactical affair which can last hours for the more well-acquainted.
