Summary

What would you do if you were given the power to change history? A lot of combat strategy games allow players to relive historical events and epic battles from the past, but they also include a fair bit of freedom for curious minds to try rewriting the course of the Crusades war. Why? Because it's interesting, of course. And no battle from the past was as vicious or interesting as the battles of 1189-1192.

That's the basis for Lionheart: King's Crusade, a strategy sim that puts you in the position of either Richard the Lionheart – the British King intent on invading Jerusalem to reconquer the land – or Saladin, tasked with protecting his land and his people against the oncoming invasion. Playing as either of these great leaders will give players the opportunity to play things out a little bit differently.

Control and upgrade army leaders and their troops, and guide various historical factions through political events that can change the course of the war. A hefty campaign mode will grab your attention for an age, with intense battles played out on screen as you organise your soldiers and devise tactics on the fly. Collect relics on your way and unlock even more bonus content to extend the life of the war.
