Real adventurers - those that like to think on their feet and not resort to violence in order to get their way - are a rarity these days. But then again back in the 1920s, there were still many mysteries yet to be discovered about the world and its history. Adam Venture is essentially the plucky crusader that predates even Indiana Jones - a man whose interest in mythical treasures overcomes all danger and obstacles.
And dangers he has indeed faced. In the first chapter our Adam managed to navigate his way through the Caverns of Eden whilst avoiding certain death. In this second instalment of the episodic third-person series, Venture is still looking for the Lost Gardens of Eden, but he gets caught up in a search for the ancient King Solomons treasure instead.
Featuring realistic Unreal Engine 3 graphics and an accessible storyline that helps teach family values as well as a deep and thrilling adventure, Adams Venture II: Solomons Secret may seem like its sidetracking from the point a little bit but there seems to be something of a rabbit hole effect going on. Solomons treasure is not all that it seems, and Adams search could well be a key event in helping him discover Eden.
