Summary

It's dark times indeed for Harry Potter, 'the boy who lived'. With The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 Harry is nearing the endgame in the rise of Voldemort – the moment his life has been building towards since Voldemort first failed to destroy him and he became the Chosen One.

The war that everyone feared is now upon the wizarding world. Voldemort and his Death Eaters have seized control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, arresting and terrorising anyone who dares to oppose them as they go. But one boy (or is that 'man' now?) remains beyond their grasp – Harry Potter.

Harry, along with Ron and Hermione, seeks to destroy He Who Must Not be Named's Horcruxes in order to destroy Voldemort himself. Following the tone of the book and the films, The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is a darker affair than previous games in the series. Our heroes are beyond the safety of Hogwarts and beyond the protection of their tutors, so it's literally life or death out there.

The game thus features a lot more action than previous games, playing out with a lot of similarities to third-person shooters. It all rests on your use of the wand as you travel Britain doing battle with Death Eaters, Snatchers and other evil sorts. With the 360 version you get a little added bonus, too - Kinect functionality!

The fate of the world rests on young Harry's shoulders – time to step up!
