Summary

Workouts. They're always so troublesome and tedious, aren't they? Surely there must be a better, more exciting way of keeping fit without having to run on a treadmill or pretend to run through a park in Wii Fit. Ubisoft, already having several alternative activity games under its belt, is offering you just that with My Fitness Coach: Dance Workout.

The idea behind this is to keep you active by engaging you with exercises that work in the fine art of dancing. A selection of different fitness workouts are already available on the disc, each of them combining fitness, Tonic Latin Dance, boxing and aerobics to give you a complete sense of burning the calories, without the chore.

If the built-in workouts aren't for you, you can create you own programme and set challenges for yourself and your friends to tackle with the Wii Balance Board or the Wii Remote. Ubisoft's experience with Just Dance means that you can have that sense of high-score gameplay in a more fitness-focused scenario.

As for the dances themselves, the Complete Cardio programme includes 14 different choreographed routines using popular Latin dance styles such as Salsa, Samba, Rumba, Flamenco, Reggaeton and Meringue. And you can choose to dance and perform boxing moves at the same time, or engage yourself in one of eight minigames featuring Rodeo, Karate, Sword Fighting and Bull Dodging to name a few.

Naturally, you have a personal coach to keep track of your routines as well, and you can access a detailed fitness calendar, on top of a multiplayer mode that lets you enjoy workouts with a friend.
