Summary
A New Beginning sits in the classic adventure game mode but brings cinematic looks and an eco-thriller plot to the party.
A global climate catastrophe is going to engulf the world, and the player must do something – fast – to save the planet. Featuring hand-painted locations from all over the threatened Planet Earth, the game has the gamer taking control of two main characters in a bid to beat time and nature.
Scientist Bent Svensson has been trying to develop an eco-friendly alternative energy source as his life’s work. To no avail though, unfortunately. He is in retirement until the young and energetic Fay comes to warn him of the Earth’s doom. More than simply a beautiful and clever female, Fay is also from the future. Professor Bent must, therefore, use his research to save the planet. First, however, an evil energy baron has the research, and Bent must recover it. That is, however, if he believes Fay and her story.
There is also a cast of more than 30 other characters - animated by hand – to interact with in a complex but timely plot.
A New Beginning also features challenging and sophisticated puzzle solving elements to lead (or stop) the player from progressing to the successful conclusion… or bitter end.
