Summary
Yo ho ho! What fun life would be if you could spend it as a pirate? A real dog of the sea? Well, Jolly Rover lets you experience that quite literally, as you follow the misadventures of Gaius James Rover. An actual dog. With a pirate hat. And a parrot. Don’t tease him too much though, because he lost his dad, the comical Jolly Rover, during a joke cannon misfire to the groin. These are sad times for Gaius.
But, not letting it all get to him, the plucky little sausage dog sees a world of opportunity when he accidentally creates an addictive and potent brew that takes the Caribbean by storm. Dubbed ‘Jolly Roger,’ this substance is soon sought after by big businesses and even neighbouring islands! After accepting advance payment from the Governor of Groggy Island, Gaius buys his own vessel and sets sail for his drink’s new home - but runs into pirates along the way…
This classic point and click adventure sees Gaius explore three untamed tropical islands in an attempt to fulfil his dream of starting a travelling circus. Voiced characters and an unobtrusive hint system will help you along the detailed environments and puzzles in the game, and once you’ve beaten the game you can explore a treasure trove of special extras such as concept art to boot.
