Summary
There aren’t many things in life that are as exhilarating and exciting as car racing. Especially if you have a souped up dream machine and do battle with fellow racers against the urban jungle cityscape. This third entry in the Asphalt series lets you do all that in 3D for the very first time, as the franchise hits Nintendo’s eye-popping 3DS handheld.
Like previous titles in the series, your aim is to race your way to the very top of the underground leaderboards and make a name for yourself. Grab a souped up wonder car or a nitro-powered superbike and burn rubber with the best in the business. It’s not just about pole position though - respect and money is also won through classy drifts and mean takedowns on your opponents.
But the police will be trying to stop you too, so while you’re forcing your rivals off the road you have to ensure that you get enough TV coverage from the news helicopters to raise your reputation and play with the big boys. And why wouldn’t you? With 42 licensed vehicles from manufacturers such as Ferrari and Ducati, 17 world locations including Paris and Tokyo, and the ability to use the 3DS’ unique StreetPass functionality to race against others when your handheld is closed means that this will be the most exciting Asphalt game yet.
