Coming from Pantierra - a production house that combines talents with backgrounds as diverse as military, sport and entertainment - and developed by Zombie Studios (Blacklight: Tango Down, Saw II: Flesh & Blood, Blacklight: Retribution) Blackwater is an FPS based in the real world.
The game takes its name from the the private security company founded in 1997 by Erik Prince, a former Navy SEAL, to provide training support to military and law enforcement agencies, and that was heavily involved in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Blackwater the game is modern combat shooter that gives the gamer the ability to completely control the gameplay experience using a traditional controller or Kinect, the Xbox 360s full-body controller.
The motion-sensing Kinect controller enables players to do everything from moving their character to aiming and firing any of their wide selection of weapons. The game is also playable with a standard controller.
Although based in the real world, the game has its own fictional story that like the game-play mechanics - has been developed in conjunction with former members of the Blackwater team themselves. This ensures the unique accuracy of moves, gestures and gameplay.
The game also comes with an arsenal of officially licensed weapons for your soldier to choose from. The player will lead a team of Blackwater Operators protecting a fictional North African town. To do this they must battle vicious warlords and repel two opposing militia forces.
