Summary
Modern day Formula 1 racing is as much about team management as it is about the driving. Pole Position 2012 puts the gamer in a position to sample the realistic, modern pressure, stresses, desolations and triumphs of the life of a team manager in F1.
To begin with, the gamer must first design the car that will compete against other F1 teams for the manufacturers' table. Once done it's time to recruit the members of the race team from pit crew, to engineers and of course the drivers.
Another improvement brought by the developers is that the management system has been made easier and more intuitive to use. This means that the player can either develop their own team from the start or they can take control of an existing racing team.
Team management using the integrated Driver Editor enables the gamer to create their own unique drivers to race for victory. Because the team owns its own installations, different structures, such as a wind tunnel or a fitness centre can be constructed and improved on. This also enables use of the car set-up system, where the player can take everything out of their cars and rebuild them from scratch to improve their performance on each specific racetrack.
It's not all work though, Pole Position 2012 also lets the manager to have a private life with their own sports cars, a villa on the Riviera or even a private jet plane.
