Summary
Pro Cycling Manager: Season 2012 brings updates to the esteemed series which combines team management with action to form an all-round idea of how to get a top class road racing team over the line in huge events all over the world.
The aim for the gamer is to become the head coach of more than 80 real world professional teams. The glory chase culiminates in the entry to and victory in globally famous Tour de France. This means not only ensuring that team members can work together but that sponsors are brought onboard and kept happy. Therefore the right riders must be found and contracts must be negotiated.
Once this has been achieved equipment must be selected and paid for and riders must be trained and slotted it with each other in the correct team selections using exactly the right strategies.
Managers compete against computer AI in such high profile races as the Vuelta, the Giro, the Tour of Australia and that and hugely glamorous the Tour de France.
This iteration of the game also introduces the 20 other teams, online and brand-new multiplayer mode. Player managers get to challenge each another in a persistent world with a full and proper schedule.
Other new features include the season planner, where race registrations can be managed for team riders for an entire season. There is also a stage reconnaissance system and an improved and enlarged medical staff. All of this is accessible via a new user Interface.
The truly hardcore and committed race team manager will also want to have a go at the challenge that is the brand new Pro Division, with 40 more races and 20 more official teams.
