Summary

The babes are back! Dead or Alive is the fighting series that has never shied away from the beauty of the human anatomy. And now, with this fifth instalment, Team Ninja has improved the graphics of this stunning brawler even further. But that’s not all that’s changed - new online features and martial arts techniques that have never been seen in the DoA franchise before also make their way to the ring.

But the signature hand-to-hand, visceral combat has not been lost, despite the bold new direction. As you would expect in a Dead or Alive game, the environment can be used to aid you in battle - but this time around the 3D stages are much more dynamic. Even as the fight progresses, the world around you will transform and interact with players.

Characters have been given a whole new level of personality to complement their graphical upgrade. Kicks, punches and throws all reflect a fighter’s individual skill and flair, as incredibly detailed animations reflect the smallest muscle flex and slightest tweak in facial expression. It’s more than eye candy too - the change in animation and personality make a difference in the ring as players get accustomed to how each character reacts to various situations in battle.

This Ultimate edition packs even more into the box, with content from Dead or Alive 5+. That means you get bonus content including new fighters and modes, such as “Skill Info Plus” and the tutorial to bring new players up to speed.

Along with an intense story mode, Dead or Alive 5 also comes with a classic set of arcade play options, tournaments and special features. Become a Fighter, and challenge the world for the top spot on the global leaderboards too.
