Summary

All time classic The Sims 3 is going into unfamiliar times with this it’s latest add-on: The Sims 3: Into The Future.

Using the Time Portal gamers send their unsuspecting Sims into the distant future hundreds of years from boring old now. Once there, the little folk can build up their own Advanced Technology Skills so that they are able to make use of the futuristic tech that is on offer. Thankfully the portal also enables Sims to leap back in time, too.

This time jumping enables the gamer to see the effects of their present actions on their future Sims. This includes such much needed gadgets as hoverboards and jetpacks, with larger transport options including monorails and tube elevators.

Of course, the Sims themselves need to look the part so they can also be dressed with futuristic hairstyles and even ultra modern clothing.

Once kitted up, the player's Sims can create and customise AI ‘Plumbots’ for use around the house via a series of programming options using their trait chips such as the Robonanny and Sinister Circuits chips. These enable the player to make entirely new life forms to experiment with.

As ever with the Sims, there are a variety of professions and other jobs to take on in the world of the Future from a Plumbot dealer to using all the new tech as an astronomer at Stellar Observatory.

Sims can also buy, build and sell their Homes of the Future, which are filled with new items such as holographic TVs, easels, plants and computers. But if a settled life doesn’t appeal, there is also the vast Wasteland to explore...
