Summary

With Tearaway Unfolded Media Molecule, the developer behind the blockbuster LittleBigPlanet series, returns to the big screen. Well, the biggest screen in your house, anyway.

Tearaway Unfolded brings the PS Vita favourite Tearaway to the PS4, complete with a few new bells and whistles.

The game stars Atoi (if you choose to play as a female) or Iota (if you choose a male), a messenger charged with delivering a message to you, the three dimensional person lurking on the other side of the screen. If you turn on a PlayStation Eye camera, in fact, you'll see yourself lurking in the sun, peering down into the game world.

The game is a mix of platforming and puzzling with some very Media Molecule-ish twists. One is the papery look of the game world, in which you'll see the environment fold, bend and crumple.

Beyond that, though, is the way the DualShock 4 controller allows you to interact with that world. Motion control and the pad's touch screen all come into play when you're helping Atoi or Iota make their way through the world.

With this PlayStation 4 version of the game, players get more story, new levels and fresh gameplay mechanics. They also, of course, get that Media Molecule charm that has made the developer a favourite of PlayStation gamers everywhere.
