Summary

There's only so long that Zelda fans can go without a hit of their favourite series, and with A Link Between Worlds a ways in the past and Link's Wii U outing a way off yet, 2015 would be looking a bit barren if it weren't for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. The game returns to the world and style of A Link Between Worlds and drops players into the world of Hytopia.

It truly is a time for heroes. The princess has been cursed by a witch and forced to replace her usual high fashion with a hideous outfit of black. Things don't get much worse than this and saving the day is going to require not one, not two, but three Links!

Players can team up either online or via local play, with each one taking on the role of a Link from a different world, buddying up to solve puzzles no single Link could handle! Explore eight different areas of the Drablands, ranging from icy caverns to red hot volcanoes, and tackle over 30 levels of fiendish puzzles and deadly enemies.

If you prefer to go it alone, however, fear not. Players can adventure solo with the help of statue-like companions called Doppels.

All three players are bound to the same heart meter, so it's vital to co-operate and keep each other going. Players might request help, deliver pointers or work together directly to form totems and fling each other to higher vantage points.

Tri Force Heroes features a crafting system that enables players to put together 30 new outfits. Not only do they look cool, they also bestow different abilities. Use the Goron Garb to swim through lava, wear the Legendary Dress to increase heart drops or have the Kokiri Clothes power up arrows.

Only you can save the day! Well, you and two of your mates...
