SNK 40th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION - Switch

It's been 40 years since legendary studio SNK first appeared. 40 years! So, while young whippersnappers are getting into retro games through collections that aren't even middle-aged yet like the SNES Classic Mini and the PSOne mini console, SNK is taking us back even further to the glory days of the arcades with the SNK 40th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION.

Being on the Switch, not only does this collection mean that you don't have to head to the arcade to play this collection - you can literally take it anywhere. There are 12 titles available at launch, including the likes of Alpha Mission and Ikari Warriors, and another 11 available as of December 11th as free DLC. Steps have been taken to make sure this collection works for a modern audience, too. Players can rewind and save at any time, while the graphics have been brought up to 1080p resolution and the controls have been redesigned for a modern feel.

For those really wanting to take a deep dive there's also the SNK Museum, which includes high definition artwork and original promotional assets.
