Summary

Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation for the Nintendo 64 is one hell of a ride. Hold on tight because when you’re travelling at speeds of over 200 miles per hour, one small mistake and you’ll be in the wall. Monaco Grand Prix is a fast and furious racing game that requires quick reactions and thinking.

Depending on your level of skill, you can choose between arcade or simulation modes. The arcade mode is great for learning the tracks (all sixteen of them) and getting to grips with the game mechanics. When you’ve mastered arcade mode, try the extremely realistic and tricky simulation mode but be warned put a wheel on the grass and it’s likely you’ll spin.

In Monaco Grand Prix you have total control over the car set-up for the race. It’s possible to change everything from tires to the amount of downforce on your car. Fuel strategy is important as doing a quick few laps on a light few fuel load while everyone else has just pitted could just give you the edge to win the race.

Another great feature of Monaco is the intelligence of the other drivers. They demonstrate characteristics that make you feel like you’re racing with other drivers. For the ultimate in fun try the two-player split screen option. With plenty of tracks, drivers and options Monaco Grand Prix is an excellent racing game.
