Founded in 1990 by Charles Cecil, Tony Warriner, and David Sykes, Revolution Software is one of Europe's premier software development houses.
Revolution has a well-earned reputation for its narrative driven entertainment software. Every title Revolution has produced has received high critical acclaim and been commercially successful. Revolution's last titles, Broken Sword and Broken Sword 2 each sold over a million units in Europe alone.
Revolution's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1994 title, "Beneath a Steel Sky" (Amiga).
The company has been involved titles released on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Wii, DS/DSi, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, GBA, PlayStation, Amiga and CD32. Of these, "Broken Sword: The Angel of Death" (PC), "Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror" (PC) and "In Cold Blood" (PlayStation) have been best selling titles.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2019 release "Beyond a Steel Sky" (Xbox One).
