Founded in 2004 as the publishing arm of Leader SpA, Black Bean is best known for its racing titles, including SBK Superbike World Championship and WRC World Rally Championship licenses games. In 2013, with no announcement or explanation, the company's website (blackbeangames.com) began redirecting visitors to the site of game developer Milestone Srl, for whom Black Bean had been a long standing publishing partner. Today, the Black Bean website no longer exists - even as a redirect. In lieu of an official announcement, it is assumed that the two companies merged.
Black Bean's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2005 title, "The Day After: Fight For Promised Land" (PC).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC, PSVita, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, DS/DSi, PS2, PSP and Xbox.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2012 release "MUD: FIM Motocross World Championship" (PSVita).
