Rayman makes his way into the third dimension and onto the Sony Playstation in one all mighty bound. Rayman 2: The Great Escape is an action platformer that requires you to think on your toes. The evil pirates have enslaved Rayman’s planet and to make things worse, the core of his world has exploded releasing 800 Lums of energy. It is essential that Rayman collect these Lums to return peace to the land.

Rayman is an extremely polished title. The gameplay is accessible, well thought out and enjoyable. The control method becomes almost second nature after only playing for a short while. The amount of moves Rayman can do is impressive and the way he interacts with his environments is superb. The pace of the game is just right with the right balance of action and puzzle solving. What makes this game shine is the variety in each of the levels.

Rayman is a loveable character, the way he moves and talks is just right. Graphically, this game is rich and good looking. There are 20 levels to make your way through and plenty of secrets to find. You can manipulate the camera in real-time to get the best shot of the action. Rayman 2: The Great Escape is one title you’ll be playing for a long time.
