Summary

The game's story begins with a dinosaur egg that survives a bloodthirsty attack on its nest. A rampant carnataur destroys all but one of the eggs, which is stolen by a ravenous oviraptor, and begins its long journey over land and sea, until dropped by its abductor. The egg, still intact and un-hatched, falls through a cluster of trees and into a lush island paradise. A peaceful clan of lemurs, curious about this strange intrusion, inhabits the island. They don't have long to wait to find out what's in store, for within moments the egg hatches and an adorable baby dinosaur pops out. The lemurs warm to him instantly, adopt him as their own, and name him Aladar.

The game-play itself is not just about Aladar, as there are two more playable characters to consider: Zini, the lemur which Aladar has grown up with, and Flia the pteranodon, who initially discovers Aladar, and protects him as if he were her own child. The key to success in Disney's Dinosaur is unity. In Team mode, if you get your characters to work as a team and the more progress you will make. However, if you choose to play as just one of the characters, their unique abilities and strengths are more evident.

After the destruction of the lemurs' home island, Aladar, Zini and the rest of the lemur population are swept to a desolate beach, but Flia is nowhere to be seen. Now the adventure begins as you guide the characters through new lands, making new friends and encountering one or two enemies.

Disney's Dinosaur is a familiar tale in the style of 'stranger in a strange land' stories, released on PSX in the UK to coincide with the release of the feature film.
